Windowpane
03:56
|
|||
The cold seeped underneath the windowpane
Just as my heart was growing warm
And when you call it, with your poor speech trembling
It never answers anymore
The breeze blew underneath the windowpane
The insulation couldn’t hold
And when you felt it with your frosty fingertips
It wasn’t ready to unfold
And you never knew how the world grew dark
And powder filled my lungs and all that was left
The only reminder was the sober cold of winter falling down
The frost will dance behind your windowpane
Its calling war on every soul
The white is blackening the entry to a world I’ll never know

Half Way
03:41
|
|||
Time has been slowing
As I sit here and think of the lies I’ve been knowing
And I’m stuck on the brink
From the quizzical smiles and the nonchalant giggle then frown
And my mind keeps whirling round
Mmm
In the absence of all that I want me to be
Will the vision of you block out all clarity
As time’s slowing down
But my head’s reeling round
And I’m only half-way where I want to be
Seeds I’ve been sowing
In the world that I’ve built in the times I am knowing
With the pain and the guilt
And I open my eyes to your nonchalant giggle then frown
And your arms abound
Without a sound
In the absence of all that I want me to be
Will the vision of you block out all clarity
As time’s slowing down
But my head’s reeling round
And I’m only half-way where I want to be
Take me, but let me be me
Take me, but let me be me
In the absence of all that I want me to be
Will the vision of you block out all clarity
As time’s slowing down
But my head’s reeling round
And I’m only half-way where I want to be
Patience is growing
As I look out ahead just to find where I’m going
Down the path I have led
With a pat on the back and a last kiss or two in the end
There are things we shouldn’t review
In the end, I might have had you…

Until Tomorrow's Day
03:07
|
|||
Daylight has faded away
Until another day, until another day
Reflections in jumbles in my head
I lie awake in bed
It seems that in a glance a day has ended
Now time will only tell what time has mended
The calm of the night leaves me alone
To ask myself the questions that I never answered through the day
Stuck with what’s left here for today
Until tomorrow’s day
It seems that in a glance a day has ended
Now time will only tell what time has mended
And I want to believe tomorrow will be a better day
I’ll wake up to sunlight and be satisfied come what may
Come what may
Until Tomorrow’s Day.
